You don’t need to re-take the course, but only the exams. Note that the written and practical exams are taken as a set; if you pass one, but not the other, you are required to take both written and practical exams again.
But, don’t worry! The interesting thing is that of our students that have failed the first time, they usually pass with high marks due to the fact that the fear of failure has passed, and they relax enough to focus on procedure and not on worrying. Strange, and yet I see it every time…
